Opio Village

Opio village centre, although small, is very pleasant and largely unchanged by time. The modern  development has taken place down below the old village and there is now a Club Med leisure resort & golf course, shopping complex and improved road layout - none of which would have been there in Lady Fortescue's time! Many older buildings survive though and include the olive mill and an excellent restaurant.

There is a viewing platform to the side of the church which gives glorious views down over the golf course. You can also enjoy the view towards Chateauneuf de Grasse on the hills above.
